How do I sign up for a Web Builder Account?
Sign up for your QT Web Builder account can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Simply navigate to www.qtwebbuilder.ca/signup and click the link to choose either payment by credit card or cheque. Once payment has been verified we will register a domain name or contact you to confirm what you would like to do with an existing domain. Upon verification of the domain name and payment details will be emailed to you outlining how to begin editing your site.
How quickly can I launch my site?
Depending on your method of payment*, we can have your website up and running in less than one business day. Once you have received your login info the site can be created in less than 20 minutes!
*based on credit card payment, payment by cheque is dependent on delivery speed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept monthly payment by Credit Card. Yearly payment is also available by Credit Card, Cheque or E-transfer. For more information on our plans or payment options contact us at accounts@qtwebbuilder.com
Can I pay by Cheque?
Yes, however we only accept check payments on a yearly basis. The good news is that by paying yearly you save 10%. Please remember to make cheques payable to QT Web Designs.
What happens if I need to cancel my web builder account?
If at any time you need to cancel your QT Web Builder account please inform us in writing at accounts@qtwebbuilder.com You can cancel your account at any time, but any domains registered through QT Web Builder will also expire unless the proper arrangements are made to transfer the registration.
What currency are payments carried out with?
QT Web Builder is based in Canada. As such all of our listed prices are in Canadian funds. To calculate payment conversion to your own currency click here: www.xe.com
Can I create a second website?
Yes! You can create as many websites as you like! Each additional website costs only $15/month.
Can I upgrade my plan to add more features?
At any time you may choose to add features to your web builder plan such as a second website, additional email accounts, a QT Connect – bulk email subscription or customization to your template. If you have arranged for payment via credit card the amount will be adjusted to your monthly payment. If you are paying yearly by cheque or credit card you will be invoiced for the adjustment to your plan.

DOMAINS AND EMAIL
What’s a domain name?
A domain name is the address where your website can be located. For example this website uses www.qtwebbuilder.com. When choosing to create your site, you might want to create a domain that is unique to yourself or your product, but easy to type into an address bar.
Do I need a domain name to create a site?
Yes, each account with QT Web Builder requires a domain name. If you already have a domain name registered that you would like to use we can transfer your domain to our server. Otherwise your QT Web Builder account includes one free domain name registration.
Can I use a domain name I already own for my QT Web builder site?
Yes, but only if the domain isn’t currently associated with other files or permissions. Once you have signed up for an account, a member of our team will contact you to arrange for DNS transfer to our server, or to acquire your server’s FTP connection info, if you would like to continue hosting your own domain.
Does my domain name hosting come with an email address?
Yes, each domain name that is hosted with QT Web Builder comes with one free email. During the sign up process you will be asked for the prefix for your email (ie: me@mydomain.com) and whether you would like it forwarded to an existing email account or whether you would like to use it for sending.
Can I create more than one email account?
Yes, each QT Web Builder plan comes with one free email account – each additional email address costs $5/month. To add an email address to your account contact us at accounts@qtwebbuilder.com

How many designs can I choose from?
We currently have over 150 designs in our system. We are always adding more so continue to check back, even once you have built your site, to refresh it’s look.
Can I change the design of my site?
Yes! At any time you can change the design of your site to a different design. The text, images and links that you have created in QT Web Builder will remain the same.
Can I customize my design?
We offer customization of any template in QT Web Builder for an additional cost of $15/month.
I like a design but it doesn’t match the colours I want in my site, can you modify a template for me?
Absolutely! This falls under our customization services. Any QT Web Builder site can be customized by a member of our team to meet your specifications at a rate of $15/month.
Can I see some of your templates before purchasing my site?
A selection of our templates can be found on our templates page: www.qtwebbuilder.com/templates.html. The offerings here represent a variety of the different designs that you could choose for your site. If you would like to customize one of the templates we offer that service for $15/month.

BUILDING YOUR SITE
How long does it take to build my site?
Once your account information has been sent to you creating your website can be done in under 20 minutes! For account users we offer a series of video tutorials to take you through the step by step process of setting up your site.
How do I build my site?
Building your site in QT Web Builder is easy. The site creation tool will take you through some of the steps necessary to selecting the look, style and functionality of your site. Your account comes with access to our video tutorial series to teach you how to create update and manage your site.
How do I view the video tutorials?

Where is the login area?
A link to the login area is located at the top and bottom of each page in the front section of QT Web Builder. The actual location of the login area is: www.qtwebbuilder/myqtsite
What does HTML stand for?
HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. All QT Web Builder websites are created in HTML. Each page on your site is a separate HTML file that you can navigate to. The HTML page compiles images, styles and other attributes to make your page look the way you want it to.
How Do I Edit My Page?
To edit your page login to your website using your username and password, then click on the “files” tab in the left panel. Once there click on one of the files you would like to edit. Once the page you would like to edit has appeared in the browser window on the right hand side click the ‘edit’ button located beside the address bar.
How Do I Publish My Page?
Publishing your website in QT Web Builder is simple! When in the ‘Edit’ mode, simply click on the ‘save’ button in the left hand column. That’s it! Check out your site online and the changes will have been made.
I saved my page but I don’t see the changes in another browser, what’s happened?
Sometimes a browser loads the most recent version of your page without searching to see if there was a more recent copy saved. Simply hit the ‘refresh’ button on your browser and the changes should be reflected on the page. If the changes are still not there, you may not have saved them correctly, navigate back to your page in QT Web Builder and edit or re-save the page.
How do I change the design of my site?
To change the design of your site, click on the “site builder” tab and browse to a new design. Once you have chosen a design click “ok”.
I can’t see the “site builder” tab?
If you can’t see the site builder tab on the left side of your screen click on the site builder logo (the image of the hammer and wrench in the files panel).
How do I remove the “Powered By QT Web Builder” Link at the bottom of each page?
The powered by link allows us to keep our costs affordable while marketing our services. If you would like to remove this link it can be done for an additional $5/month. Contact us at accounts@qtwebbuilder.com to remove the link.
What happens if I don’t like any of the templates?
There are several options for you if you can’t find a template that meets your needs. You could upgrade to our customization package, where we customize a template for you for an additional $15/month or you could contact QT Web Designs info@qtweb.ca to arrange for a consultation to have a full custom website created, prices start at $50/month.
